I'd say it would be okay... IF there was a plan to undo all the BS that's been done.
Most of the issues I see are from government mismanagement over decades. But the government cant just pull out of everything and walk away. Whatever they walk away from will be a hot mess and whoever got fired (government and contractors) will need jobs (so the economy needs to be strong enough to absorb that).
Its going to be hard to undo it... most people think (and it might be) to keep going down our current path but I don't think its sustainable.
So far I haven't seen a single Libertarian that has outlined a real plan action for ALL the party lines they hold. and IMHO letting one loose without a plan is just as dangerous as the path we are on. So until we have a 3rd party that is put together and has its act together (visibly more than the 2 terrible ones we have now), they will get no real traction.
Here is a basic one... Most Libertarians want all drugs legalized. They cant explain how this Federal action will get paid for by the local governments... the increase in hospitalizations and ambulance rides, etc. simple answer is "oh we will bill the drug user" except most of them cant afford to pay the bill and wont. so you are still SOL. Will this cycle last forever? Probably not, but how do we survive the unknown timeline?
FYI... I'm a fiscal conservative, social liberal, and I read the constitution verbatim (and take the federalist papers, actions of the time, etc to understand what things mean). I love freedom and respect the law (and how to change the law).
