I'm just ranting here.
We moved into our new house about a month ago. Mostly went pretty smooth but since then the dishwasher and oven have gone tits up, hot water doesnt work great in the master shower (although fine everywhere else), we dont get much heat into the guest room, the drain for the utility sink that the washer dumps into was leaking (easy fix but, wtf?) and the toilet in the basement is leaking.
None of this shit is expensive but its all a pain in the ass to have to deal with right away and I cant bend, twist or lift anything so a lot of it just has to wait. We're blowing out the whole kitchen and renovating the floor but we havent nailed down all the details with the contractor yet, thinking we'd just live with the crappy but functioning kitchen for a little bit.
tl;dr sometimes older houses are shitty
