Dealerships make a lot of money on their service department.

this, big time.  any dealership with a smart GM can turn over parking spots at a dealership.  the money nowadays is in getting all those same people back in the service bays for scheduled service.  

you wanna hurt 'em? don't go back. go to a different dealer, explain your situation, and give them the chance to prove they earned your new business.
