Dealerships make a lot of money on their service department. Any of them can sell you a new, mostly-functional Mk7.5 GTI at some-money-below-MSRP. The differentiator is with the service experience. If one dealer cannot provide a satisfactory experience, fuck 'em and go elsewhere.
I drive right past at least two Ford dealers every time I take the red truck in for something, and it's because Ted Britt's service department and staff are a wonderful group of people to work with. The others didn't listen to my complaints and/or didn't fix the issues. Not hard to just not send them business.
