Maybe a 20v setup is cheaper, but no way you got a 40v battery and tool for under $50 unless it was some insane special. Even the B/D 20v trimmer w/ battery is $65 on amazon right now, regularly $118.
Yeah I didn't catch that we were comparing battery dick size, my bad. I still stand by 20V being pretty much fine for subdivision homeowner use.

It's a little more but I don't remember paying that much for it at the time
