more boring stuff.  appraiser came yesterday, probably going to be a new rear bumper skin i guess.  i think they also replace car seats regardless of impact speed but we'll see.  

managed to survive driving through the center of Atlanta twice to get over to west GA to see family for Thanksgiving.  turns out driving the day of, vs a couple days before, is awesome for avoiding traffic.  cruised between 78-82mph almost the entire way going and coming back again.  its a bit of a buzzy car at that speed but it'll eat miles just fine.  loaded down with 4 souls, luggage, dog crate/pen, cooler, and a bike rack it returned just a hair under 30mpg combined.

everyone knows a washed car is good for at least +2mpg


come to GA, enjoy the foliage, try not to step in the swirling garbage

highly recommend Duragloss 951 Aquawax.  spray it on a wet car as you wipe it dry with microfiber towels.  cheap, easy as it gets to apply and the beading is amazing.  i only do a formal hand applied wax coat once a year anymore and fill in the gaps with this stuff.
