Limping a car home from a track day with no brakes is a rite of passage.

In my WRX,  I drove it from BeaveRun (now Pittrace) worn to the point of a hole in the pad and backing plate that you could see through.  Through the mountains of the PA Turnpike.   Good times.  
I remember RJ and Gerald having brake drama too.

Then we drove in the snow uphill both ways

In my HPDE days, three of us triple-teamed a Miata (DE 1, DE 4, Time Trial) and the owner had to drive it home with judicious use of the handbrake because the pads were that worn by the end. Good stuff.
