i don't have much in the way of constructive insight to add, other than if these guys are wealthy enough to afford these cars, they're probably wealthy enough to hold onto some decent lawyers.  i'm interested to see how the ensuing lawsuit war pans out between the owners and the state, because there's no way they're just going to roll over and pay up if they've gone to these lengths already.

That's a good point.  Georgia's strategy here is to go after 2 of the worst offenders to the tune of $1.6 million.  But for that much money, it would be worth it for those guys to fight it.

If they went after some smaller fish that owed maybe $20-50k, those guys might decide it's not worth it to fight.  Legal fees would make it a lose-lose.

Only thing I can surmise is that the GA tax enforcers feel like they have a very strong case.
