And with the house on the market now 5 days I'm starting to get a little worried. 

Uh you're good dude, try two months with only one lowball offer and carrying two mortgages.  Our HOA fees jumped to $300 / month due to widespread water damage throughout the neighborhood so nobody wanted to touch it even though it's in an incredible area.  Just super glad the buyer came along when they did, what's odd is that it's sat vacant for over 2 years.  I knew they were buying as an investment but they didn't even try to rent it out.  My wife's old flower planters are still hanging on the deck.

Does this happen a lot? There are two or three houses in my neighborhood that have been sitting vacant for a while now...

Are they Chinese?  Lot cheaper to park their money here...

No. The guy I looked up has two homes (sfh) in Herndon and one sfh in great falls. All in the same shape. I believe he lives in Hilo, HI and is a lawyer...

A tree fell onto his back neighbor almost hitting his house (saved by his own tree) , that neighbor cut it down and sued him for the cost of removal, and the douche counter sued for the value of the wood (and won)...

I dont know why but I am highly amused that he won.
