I'd imagine a lot of it has to do with most people not being able to swing a two seater in the price range these cost new. Combine that with the fact that Nissan let them get really stale and under powered in the last 9 years. 370z sales peaked in 2010 and have been dropping since. Either way, the rarity is a plus in my book.
