If you're ordering a drink, asking for a Manhattan is a good way to figure out what kind of bartender you have. I went to Chicago last year with my other half and we had a fancy night out at a fancy steak restaurant - they used a drink cart and mixed drinks tableside that were way more complicated than anything I'd make at home and they were really good - fun experience.
