what do you guys think about scotch ales? 

Dis not beer thread. Start talking about beer and that's all we'll hear. 

Gin is a weird one. I used to not be a fan, because all I'd had was Bombay Sapphire and Beefeater and that shit tastes like you're giving a christmas bj. But #notallgin tastes like that. Strange Monkey is a local one that's very citrus forward, has just a little bit of that botanical/juniper flavor, and I keep New Amsterdam in my liquor cabinet. A little more christmas-tree-y, but not so bad with a vermouth wash in the glass and a twist of lemon. 

 I too am a fan of white russians, although make your own coffee liqueur. It's too easy to do, no sense in buying Kahlua, which sucks anyway. 

Speaking of, what would you guys say a "well stocked bar" consists of? I imagine there are a few young'ns who just drink jungle juice and jagerbombs and would love to expand their horizons.
