I'm going to smoke a decent sized pork butt and probably make some loaded potato salad.
2. Supplies
I've got a TON of plastic silverware so check that off.
3. Beverages
If someone wants to let me borrow a large cooler or 2 that would probably go a long way to keep everyone's drinks cold. I don't have a kegerator like Dave so keep that in mind if anyone is planning on getting a keg like last time.
4. Games/Things to do
Current plan is to setup fast and the furious in the downstairs living room, forza in the upstairs living room, pong in the basement and cornhole in the backyard if someone has a set of boards I can borrow. Open to more ideas
5. People to offer up lodging and rides
I have 2 air mattresses, 2 couches and a decent amount of floor space for anyone that needs/wants to crash at my place. If there is an afterparty: I will personally buy anyone a case of beer (or a nice six pack) that's willing to stay sober and shuttle people.
6. An After party?
I'm fine with a good ole fashion club sausagefest but if people are looking to invite their friends, tinder flings or anything like that then it's probably best to setup an after party somewhere closer to town. Significant others are obviously welcome as long as they know what they're getting into. Anyone from the club is obviously free to stay til morning.
And this is already the most organized Turducken yet. Be prepared for mashed potatoes on the ceiling. RJ's old house probably still has them caked to the ceiling. I'll never forget that year, and the ice luge, and putting Rex on a train the next morning smelling like that town drunk! He will tell you it was worth it though! I'm kinda sorry to miss this, but I think there are younger Alumni that can keep this tradition alive.
