My appliances are too new to talk about reliability, but it seemed to be all model-dependent instead of across the manufacturer.

I ended up going with a 4-piece kitchen package from Samsung because of a Columbus Day deal. The contractor screwed up the microwave install and we replaced it with a whirlpool microwave and low the appearance more; functions great, too. We went top tier Samsung dishwasher and I'm so glad we did as it's really quiet. Mid-tier fridge and range/oven. All working well so far (7 months), but it's too early...
