fescue looks and feels amazing underfoot but damn is it high maintenance comparatively

I love fescue too man.  There are a few people in our neighborhood that actually overseed with it in the fall so that their lawns look green through the winter (bermuda gets dull yellow / khaki colored when it goes dormant).  There are other people who, I shit you not, actually have their lawns professional spraypainted green in the fall.  Talk about standing out like a sore thumb.  

You also don't have to water bermuda much, it gets stronger during draughts to a point.  The other big downside though is that it's crunchy to walk on and turns to like grass clipping dust when you mow near dormancy....that stuff gets EVERYWHERE in the house, garage, cars.
