So I hooked the new router and cable modem up yesterday.  The wifi coverage is way way better with the new one.  Not only does it cover my deck and whole yard, it stretches most of the way down the street to the nearest stop sign.

That and my download speeds are nearly as fast on wireless as they are wired in now.  It's at 105mbps wireless vs 120mbps wired in.  Definitely worth the 90 dollars that I'll make back in savings on my Comcast bill anyway.

Yes!  Good to see I didn't lead you astray nor exaggerated.  I was being a cheapskate for years, buying up low-mid grade routers and going through them every year or two.  Should have just gone to the top of the pile in the first place!
