This might be a repeat gripe but if it is it's worth repeating:
Salespeople who reach out to you directly with a product or service that has absolutely no relation to my line of business. No dude, I don't need PC refresh or deployment services. There is nothing in my job title that you scraped from LinkedIn or wherever that indicates I'm a help desk tech. And I get it, you probably just bought a contact dump from Data.com or some other trash service and email blasted everyone you could at my company with a generic email, but it doesn't make it any better when you add in there: "If you aren't the right person, can you please let me know who is responsible for *insert generic corporate outsourcing service here*"
When I was in direct sales, my company did have services that benefited other business groups outside of our traditional buyer circles and I did occasionally reach out to those groups to gauge their interest. But I also did research ahead of time so that I at least knew that I was speaking their language and knew that I was roughly in the right arena. I occasionally help sales reps craft these cold call emails now so I think that's why this burns me up a little bit.
