A nice one with < 50k miles will cost you between 30-35k depending on condition/options/location/etc. They are nice cars, pretty quick with the 2.0t four and Dinan sells a solid tune for them. The 8sp auto is not quite as good as DSG, but damn nice if, say you had your leg chewed off by a bear and can no longer operate a clutch pedal.
Step back in time and E91 wagons with 60-80k miles will run you $15k for a nice auto or $20k for a nice manual xDrive car. RWD are more, M-sport even more tax but its all appearance stuff so... not sure if worth it.
Yeah, I did a search last night and this morning. There was a blue six speed E91 with the orangish/brown interior available in Columbus OH noted as "Newly Listed" - gone from from the listings this morning. I guess I need to learn from your experience - constant monitoring with cash in hand ready to go if I decide to go this route.
