You can find third party brands that are actually docks (instead of pads) for under $20 these days. This Samsung form factor is a serious pain in the ass because there's nothing to hold the phone in place. It's also a single coil, so that means it's less likely for your phone to be places properly. The third party brands have multiple coils, so placement isn't as big a deal.

It's not <$20, but still cheaper than the Samsung. I have no idea if the coil placement works for iphone, but they say it does.
