Thanks Lee! It's actually kinda "small" at 20' compared to most trailers - we see a lot of 24' and 28' tag trailers and some big pimps (DJ) have the 36'+ goosenecks going on. I've had several friends be all like "OMG you're stuffing an E36 in a 20' trailer NOWAI" but it will absolutely fit and leave some room for tools and tires. The car is only 14' long, give or take. Previous owners had a few different generations of Mustangs in it and those are longer. Any trailer more than 20' long would worry me with the relatively short wheelbase of the RR and the trailer being an even bigger sail in the wind - regardless of weight.
I'm storing the trailer at the same lot where the open was - same spot, even. It's gated, secured, and the whole place is surrounded by barbed wire fencing, so I feel pretty safe leaving it there. And I have "STP" insurance (storage, trailer, paddock) for the E36 and trailer that would cover any theft or damage.
