Owning a Saab 9-5 SportCombi of the latest generation is just a dream for most people, simply because they are so rare. Only 35 of these cars are reported to have been produced in total so supply is rather limited…  But, dreams can come true as an ultra-rare 9-5NG SportCombi is now for sale in Germany: a one-of-a-kind Turbo6 Aero. Asking price: 75,000 EUR (88,500 USD / 728,000 SEK).

Current owner Josef Zabel is a renowned Saab fan in his home country Germany. He has been driving Saabs for over 50 years now and is the proud owner of no less than 41 different Saabs; among them a Saab 96 V4 Monte Carlo from 1966 driven by Swedish author Astrid Lindgren.

Josef added this wonderful java brown Saab 9-5NG SportCombi to his collection in 2014 when he bought it from a Saab dealer in Germany, who in turn acquired it at the Saab bankruptcy estate auction in 2012. The car, with VIN number YS3GR5BJ6C9000021, is one of the pre-series 9-5’s assembled in Trollhättan, Sweden and the only with the 2.8 V6 turbo engine that is currently known. A true unicorn in other words!

With currently only about 55,000 kms on the odometer, the car has only been used for “special occasions”. It has been very well maintained and is in great condition. Despite all of this, Josef feels compelled to sell it -and some of the other ones in his current collection- for personal reasons.
