Keep looking. For one, a salvage title car is going to have horrible resale value and if you get in an accident insurance is not going to pay out as much because of that.
Also, what is your goal with the car? If you're looking for a cheap shell to put in a SR20DET (or *gasp* one of the RB engines) then just go with the S13. It's lighter and much cheaper. You could take it out to the track, beat on it, do whatever and not feel too bad/worried.
If the goal is just to keep it relatively stock and have fun why don't you try out a BMW 325. Same price range, more power, man more amenities, and we're down with a BMW tuner...
