Finally took the roof carrier off - it'd been on there since the day I bought it. The factory rails on this car are really well done. You barely notice them when nothing's on the roof, but they fit really easily to aftermarket bars. I kinda expected BMW to be a bitch about fitment, but not so. Anyway, I decided to leave the bars on. I'm sure there's a small MPG hit, but we're all city miles and not that many at that. Maybe we should take up skiing?
RJ's thread had me thinking about the car and whether I'd want to spend money on it. I mean, yeah I'd like too... but it's a baby hauler that I can't afford to have downtime on. I probably just suck at this thing, but any mechanical mod I've done worth a damn has caused at least a minor issue. I drive this car like a half dozen times a month, so I wouldn't get to enjoy it anyway. I wouldn't mind the sport seats though...
