its not, and you still can't really easily reach way down to the bottom of the block to get to the filter. it just sucks, that's the way it is, i'll deal.

but I remember that being about as bad as what Scott described.

oh don't worry i got to enjoy the fun of that too with my 99.5 B5 A4. removing the filter basically means you feel around for it in the dark , stuff rags all over the subframe, let it rip, and hope for the best when you clean up blindly. i loved and hated that car so much.
