no doubt the DSG would be faster for racing. as a bonus you can get down into 1st for tight courses really easy vs. having to double-clutch down into that gear at speed.
i drove my dad's '08 TT DSG a fair bit and its certainly entertaining, especially in a car with some power. i felt better getting back to 3 pedals though when it was over. i don't sit in traffic too much so my situation is different, but if i was in a city like you guys i'd probably do the same as you
