yeah i've driven an 8th gen Si, a Mk6 GTI (borrowed after the wreck) and a Mk7. the GTI's feel a lot like my old audi so i'm familiar with that super light, long throw clutch.
i hate to come across as an elitist, because i totally appreciate the DSG but i think i just would be bored out of my mind if i couldn't shift gears. the GTI isn't the best manual i've used but its passable for me. the shift action itself feels nice and i don't mind the weight.
