One thing he may want to look into is the radar cruise control if he's going to be using it a lot on long highway drives. I didn't see that the Tucson had that option where as the cx5 does. I thought at first it was kind of pointless; i had it on my jag and never used it once. But i tried it on the way to the dealership this morning and it's a really really cool feature, especially with how much rapid lane changing people do down here. The CX5 gets all of that same obvious advanced safety stuff like lane departure and auto braking, etc but the radar CC is cool. The camera system that reads road signs is also pretty sick, it displays them along with speed, land departure and other configurable things on our heads up display
