I think if you do the intake at the same time you do the tune they give you a slightly more aggressive map, its only marginally more than just the tune though so it's really only worth it if you want the induction sound.
I've seen a few MK7s around here with exhausts and they honestly don't sound very good, so based on that alone I agree with RJ, only piece worth touching is the downpipe if you feel like going that route.
Personally the fact that this thing can already light its tires on fire in 1st and 2nd in any weather other than hot & sunny is what makes me stay away from a tune. Without having the differential or at least decently sticky tires, I feel like 404ft-lbs of torque is going to be completely unusable around town. The highway would be a different story though....
