Quote:Preuninger admitted that the decision to offer a manual transmission in the new GT3 has upset some buyers of the manual-only 911R, who fear their cars will lose some of the exclusivity that has propelled their values skyward.Fuck these pompous assholes. The arrogance of rich people to complain that their cars are going to be undervalued because a company decides to give people what they want (manual transmission) is insane.
Man no joke, on the GT3 forum on Rennlist users post more about the value of the cars than actually driving them. It's fucking weird, like winning the game is about winning on resale value. Which I suppose is an easier game to win than winning the track day :dunno:
A lot of McLaren guys were bitching too when McLaren decided to release the 675LT Spider. McLaren originally said 500 675LT's, but then made another 500 units for the Spider. Lots of complaints of, 'They lied to us!' I'm kinda like, well they only made 500 coupes, they didn't really lie.
I think for some of those guys there's a big ego boost in having something rare, along with the allure of resale value. Finding out what they bought isn't so rare can be deflating.
In other news, my prospects for getting my hands on a GT car may be improving.
