Being that I have seen how much the proper tools can cost, and how much a normal shop would charge to do this work, there should be no issues throwing $50-$100 towards somebodies time, patience, knowledge, supplies, garage space, fuel, etc. MM is a family of car and motorsport enthusiasts who all generally have the same goal in mind. But just because two people are friends, doesn't mean one has to take the grunt of the load all the time. Yes, it's important to be grateful and say thank you, but you also need to realize how much resources people offer and that at the end of the day they could have simply said no and worked on their own projects. For this reason, there should be no issues with giving somebody money or equal compensation for what they provide, given you would have had to pay probably 10x more to someone else in order to get the work done with half the attention to detail. We appreciate DJ's contribution to this club and to our many projects, and while I haven't asked for help personally(yet lol), I know that when the time comes, there will be no complaints in compensating him for taking the time out of his day to help.

Yes, offering compensation, being respectful with borrowed things or buying a tank of gas is what normal friends would offer to do for each other.

DJ, it sounds like you've got some pent up frustration from setting aside your own stuff to help out your friends who aren't being respectful or grateful. That would probably get frustrating for me too. But it also sounds like a you problem with how you interact with and pick your friends :wink:
