One thing I need to do is modify the pedal setup to make it easier to heel-toe. I think the physics overreact a bit to down shifts that aren't perfect rev matches so it seems to be pretty important to make this easier. The pedals are even at rest, so when you press the brake, your foot is behind the throttle instead of even with it.

I have the same problem, I end up using the sequential shifting mode regardless of what setup the car is supposed to have when I'm trying to be competitive, I'll only use the clutch and shifter when I'm screwing around. Part of my problem is my home grown PVC rig has too much play in it and you can move things around if you try to slam gears more effectively.

I'd like to improve it, but it's a slippery slope. To make it more solid would make it heavier and less portable, the better half is already close to her wits end with my video game clutter in the living room, so it'd end up getting banished to the basement, then I'd need to buy a dedicated TV for it, so, meh. Paddle shifting it is.
