I think that it would be great to get together a committee of people who know their shit in all portions of the event. Aka- Travis, since you really seem to know your shit as far as the drag portion, you should definitely have say in the committee. Don't feel like you can't take an active part in the club just because you're not an officer! 
That goes for everyone... every single person in MM is just as important in making decisions and affecting the future and reputation of the club. If we can keep as much enthusiasm going as I saw in the meeting, the future is bright! Keep up the great work, guys. The OGs, alumni and past officers are definitely here for support, but remember that this is a JMU club, and the current students are those who are going to make things really happen.
Let's get this going. Here's just my thoughts on committee knowledge base:
1. Someone to head the fundraising options
2. Someone with mad-skills/knowledge in the drag portion
3. Someone " " autocross
4. Some *ricer*
to think about the car show portion
5. Someone really organized who can keep all the others together and on task
