I don't know how the fair market value is calculated, but If you were considering going with a 5.0 mustang, you should buy a 4-cylinder notchback. The value of a 4-banger stang is less than half that of a GT. And the notchback body style is much stiffer than than the more common hatchback. It would be pretty cheap to drop a carburated V8 in there. Any engine in the windsor family would fit that chassis. That means you could even drop a 351W in there. Add no2 via a plate system, and that sonbitch'll fly.
