Goddammit. I've wasted a ton of time on WUS, but this is going to be an even more miserable time sink. I rarely participate in any forums anymore, so reaching their 100 post count to open up the classifieds probably won't happen any time soon.

I bounce all over the place on replacements. Your Steinhart is quite the looker, but I have an SKX175 Pepsi already so it would kind of duplicate that. A GMT Master II would be amazing, but it's more than I'm looking to spend right now, and I want to make sure I get a good example, not one that needs to go to Rolex for service right away. I wanted a Breitling Colt for a long time since one of the guys that I first looked to for advice on watches wore one a lot, but I haven't felt compelled to buy anything in their range since.

I don't need a new watch. I've got a couple nerd budget options (I just put my orange Monster on an Omega Barenia nato and I'm really proud of myself for being so clever), some things that just put a smile on my face, and two very nice Omegas (a wave dial SMP and a 300 Chrono). But I still look a lot for fun. I just pitched the Breitling to Jomashop's trade-up program and we'll see what they offer me (if anything). I said I'd apply the credit to a Seamaster 300. I could definitely live with that. But I was also eyeing a couple of the flashy dialed Speedmasters. Or maybe an Oyster Perpetual 36 with the concentric dial.

I was looking at a Bell & Ross 39mm square (BRS quartz), but people constantly say nasty things about them and it made me hesitate. What's the opinion on the look? I think I recall a bunch of guys here hating them. They make a round heritage with an Eta movement too, which I often come back to.

Good call on the Seiko, I have the timeless SKX007 and it's one out my favorite daily drivers. The GMT Master II (in two tone) is one of my grails but I'm in the same boat, would have a hard time justifying that much on a watch any time soon. Maybe as a retirement gift to myself ha.

I personally like B&R and that one looks good IMO, but what I will say is my old boss who got me into watches picked one up after he lusted after them for a while. After wearing it for a while he really never bonded with it, kind of the same situation you had with the Breitling. He ended up selling / trading it, which in his case worked out ok because he get a killer deal on it from a local jeweler who got it on trade and mispriced it. So I don't know that it would happen to you but B&R is one of those brands that I think has some allure but may not be as interesting to live with, especially at that price point with so many options. I know Panerais have been plummeting in value, especially on the used market and even though they aren't my style they have that similar beefy, high domed sapphire look and a lot more history behind the name...I bet you could find a great example if you were so inclined
