just saw this - might come in handy the next time you need to do an oil change.

recommendations seem to fall to a 50wt oil instead of the OEM recommended 60, due to how long it takes a 60 to heat up. i'd think with you using the car as a commuter with so much sitting in traffic and low oil temps,, it would only exacerbate the issue on an old engine that uses rod bearings as a consumable part.
