Lessening of what regulation? Or is that just another generic Trump guarantee? Those departments, specifically EPA, do a lot of good unless you're a believer that climate change is not real.

EPA is involved in a lot more areas than just climate change. Why do you want to trust an unelected government bureaucrat to make decisions that have a real effect on you? I've worked with some of these people. You don't. For example, why does the DOI own and control 30% of the land in the country? When you go out west, it is a big deal. Instead of having Farmers being able to purchase the land, graze their animals on it, seed it, or whatever they want, the Government is getting to decide how the land gets used. This can be for any number of reasons - economic, environmental, whatever. We all live in coastal bubbles where it's easy to overlook all of the regulation that is out there.

What the shit is assimilation based immigration? Like, you'll try and guarantee that immigrants assimilate to "American Culture," if so, what the hell is, "American Culture"?

Yeah sure - ensuring that immigrants don't come to this country and become isolated. How about before having mass immigration, or becoming some kind of open border society, lets make sure we have jobs lined up for the ones we let in. Lets make sure they have community support. I'll trust them to pick it up on their own, but it doesn't work if they self segregate.

In no way would charter schools help, especially in the "inner cities" you mention. These schools have a hard enough time getting funding, and you want to split that out even more?

My fiance's sister who spent years teaching in derelict inner city public schools and charter schools disagrees. Since you can just say things, I'll give you anecdotes.

Simplification of tax code - I mean, okay? Going to be pain in the ass no matter how you break it down - not like it's ever going to be a straight forward you only owe us x%. There are far too many different circumstances for that to ever be a reality.

The only reason there are "different circumstances" is because of all of the lobbying and special interest concessions that have been put in the tax code over the years. Are you advocating that it's fair and correct as is?

Lowering the repatriation tax - This is not even proven to do anything positive for the economy. Not like they are forced to use the money to make new hires.

There are other benefits besides making new hires. How about the profits that companies that most of us are certainly invested in being able to pay dividends to their shareholders - but can't or won't because of a %35 tax on bringing the money home?

Lowering taxes for the middle class - As i stated earlier, after analysis his plan would, at best, save a marginal amount to current. While lowering taxes for rich and awaiting the much heralded but seldom seen, "trickle down."

Reinforcement of a military depleted by 15 years of war - We spend an obnoxious amount of money on military. We don't need to spend less and we certainly don't need to spend more. We need to spend it wisely (i.e. not trying to simultaneously designed and build large projects such as ships, plans etc.) -

ok, fair enough. Let's spend it wisely. I think Trump is less likely to bend to the whims of whatever friend senators (he has none) have major projects in their state to keep some pet project alive.

The last few you mentioned are purely personal/religious preferences. Some people are convinced that the government are going to come for their guns if they register them, some aren't.
