Really easy actually, just make sure you buy a used one already installed on a frame, at that point it's straight bolt in and takes 30 minutes... Most Spec Miata builders sell them fairly cheaply as well as others parting out Miata's

Tires are old, but have decent tread and aren't dryrotted. They've been stored in my climate controlled basement (right beside my race tires).
Brakes are Hawk HP (either S or +, I can't remember what we installed) and are usable
I think it leaks a little from the rear main seal and the CAS (i'll have to double check), but not enough that it's needing any oil added. We where waiting until the clutch needed to be done (it's still fine) before dealing with the rear main.
