Swallowed the frog last night and got under it to scrape all the nasty old gasket material and RTV off the underside of the block. I was dreading doing it but it turned out to not be so bad, the disadvantage of doing it on your back is somewhat cancelled out by the fact that you don't have to worry about bits falling in the engine.

Then I figured since I was down there I might as well try and clean up some of the gritty sludge that accumulated as a result of this oil pan leak, so I half-assedly wiped down the steering rack and subframe.



And I got the oil pan clean enough, considering its an oil pan.
