I'm glad someone has some questions for me finally lol
I personally really enjoy drag racing(in a FWD car LOL). We've been trying to do Eastside drag strip on friday nights and get a group of kids out, but nobody has been showing. I will personally drag my car and give ride alongs if anybody wants to get a dose of adrenaline (an 8.5 second 1/8th feels fast LOL). I have not done autocross yet but i really plan to get more involved with track events of the sort, as i went to broaden and improve my driving skills. To be honest i plan to attend every possible event that MM holds, as i really enjoy being around motorsports and cars in general. Hockey is not really my priority anymore as I am so injury prone(hence the torn shoulder and 4 concussions). If i have a track event on a Saturday, i can honestly say i rather spend my time at the track then at the rink (it used to be the other way around).
I would like to think my SMAD-esque skills will help the club a lot as i have not seen any artistic projects done recently. I think a cool video or awesome photos of the group will be something that makes people want to join. I am getting a new Video Drone soon, and I'm just itching to make more car videos. Who doesn't like fast cars and pretty photos? i know i do haha. I think an instagram would be an awesome thing to start up, and i would gladly take hold of it myself. I used to have a car account with 1500 followers so i can used that and convert it to an MM insta. I am a person who loves to take on projects on my own, so I'm not afraid to try to tackle something head on by myself. However, If someone wants to help me with these projects along the way i would greatly appreciate the help in raising the bar for our club.
I would definitely try to get the club to start and encourage all members to attend an SCCA Street Survival event in order to teach kids how to control their cars. I see so many people that crash in the snow because they don't know how to handle correctly or turn into a slide. I think knowing how to safely and correctly handle a car is something everybody should know how to do, whether it be on the street when it is dry, on the street when it is raining, or even on a track (given that we do track events).
And i think i would rather fight 12 Duck Sized Gary Buseys..... a Gary Busey size duck might just eat me. I'm a little fella. and my shoulder doesn't wanna have to take a beating again when i could just kick all the little Gary ducks.
I need to find some of those cards!!!!
