After a while I persuaded Stef to switch over to an audio only monitor just so she wouldn't feel compelled to constantly check on Rebecca.I've used temperature monitoring and 2 way comms myself actually. We've had a few times where the baby's room got a good bit cooler than the thermostat was set at because we keep the door to her room closed and sometimes too much heat can escape through the windows.
With the 2 way comm, if one of us is in the baby's room and needs something they can always call out to the other person. Only really comes into play during the morning or when we're putting baby to sleep but it is helpful to not have to interrupt a feeding to get something.
Never felt the need for remote camera adjustment though. Neither of us check the video feed except when baby is crying or in the morning to check to see if she is awake.
