Any of you truck guys have any experience with tonneau covers? I'm looking right now and might bump it up on the priority list because it would probably be the most useful long term thing I can add to this truck. We had a death in the family so we're likely going to take it up to VA next weekend to help my mom pack up for a move and bring some stuff of mine that is still in her townhouse back down to Charlotte. Tonneau would be beneficial for those types of trips and vacation stuff.
There's a ton of feedback on the twins forums on every conceivable cover out there. I like it because you can open it from the tailgate and on the front next to the cab, and I believe lock both of them. You can also get a like drop down storage bin that sits next to the cabin which is cool. I don't know that I necessarily need to have the front-open ability though and the installation looks pretty in-depth (ie drilling into the tailgate and frame which I'm not crazy about).
This Extang is really appealing to me as it is stupid, stupid simple to install, gets great reviews and can be removed really really easily if I need full bed access without any tracks or hardware left attached to the bed: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.extang.com/solid-fold-folding-tonneau-covers2.html">http://www.extang.com/solid-fold-foldin ... vers2.html</a><!-- m -->
That also makes it easier to take off and sell if I ever sell this truck at some point way down the line (or in a year knowing me)
