How consistent is the misfire? Do you still have all your vanity covers and stuff on the engine?
Back in school I was running around with no hood insulation and no vanity cover on the M3 and sure enough water got down under the coils of the 2 rear cylinders and fried both of them at the same time. It would run ok when it was cold but once it warmed up it was a complete disaster.
