And we're back... with more problems. At this point, I think I'm fixing it and selling it as soon as I get everything working. This truck has been nothing but problems in the 7 months or so I've owned it. I don't think it has worked 100% for more than a few weeks at a time. Unfortunate since I really like it otherwise, but this was supposed to be my reliable daily driver.

So before I got a chance to replace the timing control solenoid today, something else went wrong. It started misfiring really bad on multiple cylinders and doesn't even have enough power to make it up to 45mph on a flat road. I went ahead and replaced the timing control solenoid since that was easy, so that's fixed I guess.

Now I'm not really sure where to go from here. The only code I'm getting is the useless P0300 random/multiple cylinder misfire. It seems like that is the only code this thing knows how to throw no matter what's wrong.

Possible culprits: Crank sensor, cam sensor(s), ecu itself, multiple coils failing at the same time, fuel pump/filter. Spark plugs are a couple thousand miles old so probably not those.

Any ideas?
