While that is a very impressive feat of engineering that by no means asserts any engineering superiority over Honda engines. And just FYI the answer is yes:

In the turbocharged F1 era the 1.5L V6's were making well over 1000 hp, some estimate that it was as high as 1500 hp. During that time Honda won 6 consecutive constructor's F1 championships as well as 5 driver's championships.
