I couldn't get comfortable in it and my wife couldn't drive it if she had to without like a booster seat. Old tacos were the same, and they also have less power and worse gas mileage than the GMCs. Dodges really aren't on my radar for a bunch of reasons, but mostly because I'm pretty sold on a mid size truck.

That's my main qualm with mine. I'm NEVER comfortable. Awkward seating position, a small floorboard, and my bad back lead to terrible road trips. The common response to people taking notice of the bad gas mileage and lack of power is something along the lines of "Toyota overbuilds their motors for reliability", which I can believe.
I feel you, it's actually a shame because the interior is WORLDS improved over the prior gen. My wife's grandfather bought a '15 and he let me drive it over Christmas break. It was like getting into a different truck. In fact, he commented that he might have to bring it back because he couldn't get comfortable in it with his bad knees. We both actually really liked the interior, but it seems like a huge oversight to not put height adjustable seats in the Tacoma, I know we can't be the only potential buyers they have lost because of it. You know, looking back on all of my old Toyota trucks ('89 pickup, '94 pickup, '00 or '03 Tundra can't remember) I don't think any of them had height adjustable seats either but I guess I just didn't know any better at the time.
