The RJ keep it simple stupid point spread: aka “Tires, Diff, and Suspension”
Base Classe = TTF*
Base Weight = 2625
Base Class Points: +7
Tires: +10 (Hoohoo R7)
Tire Size: -1 (205 vs 215)
LSD Points: +3
Konis: +3
Ground Controls: +2
Point Total: 24 points (15 to spend)
New Class: TTE
I can replace the exhaust back to 100% stock replacements for about $250. I have my stock exhaust manifold, stock intake, and stock brakes. Assuming I’m keeping the stock transmission and adding a 4.9 FD (yay free mods)… I know weight plays a role in lap times… they wouldn’t penalize you with it AND without an instructor I was seeing the rev limiter MUCH earlier (300ish yards) on the straight.
Option 1: If I used ALL the left over points on weight I could get the car down to 2410lbs.
Option 2: If I take back the swaybars and brace, they leave me with 10 points. If I used those points for weight it gets me down to 2485.
Option 3: If I keep stock sway bars and spend the points on alignment stuff, that leaves me with 11 points… 11 points on weight gets the car down to 2470.
Option 4: Spend 12 more points on tires for hoosier A7s, have 3 points left over for moving to 225s (+2, 1 point plus negating the point back), leaving me 1 point to do nothing with. Weight, st
