The headlights have always been aimed quite low, which lead to adjusting them, to realizing that the adjusters were broken (they all break eventually, apparently), to realizing my particular headlights cannot be "baked" open, to lots of cussing as I replaced them through the holes in the back. Miserable job.
Luckily, someone out there made metal replacements:
M3 on the left, M5 on the right:
And for giggles, comparison to 2014 halogens on the Jeep:
I'm not sure those photos are a very good comparison, as I'm pretty sure the Jeep has better light output in general. Interesting nonetheless.
Anyway, the M5 is much better to drive at night now. Can't wait to do this shit job again when the passenger side lets go. :roll:
And wee, horsepower! Daddy gets both garage spots full time while Mommy is on maternity leave.
