i've stopped watching the walking dead for this reason. i was super gung-ho the first season and it just got more predictable and boring, and then almost offensively cheesy with the whole Woodbury saga.
same thing with FTWD....started off interesting, then cue the characters making the most retarded decisions, predictable dramatic setup...its just not possible for me to invest any emotion in it anymore or feel that anything is really at stake. shame.
I'd like to see the same premise of FTWD, a show that starts the day-of a zombie apocalypse, but I'd like to see it from the perspective of people who actually matter in the world, not some dipshit family who takes an entire season to realize that zombies are dangerous and maybe they should listen to the fucking military and focus on arming/protecting themselves instead of trying to fight the man for oppressing their right to run freely into a zombie horde.
I'm thinking like a mix between Walking Dead and West Wing or something. How the President and Military higher-ups would attempt to control the situation before ultimately failing, and then the show could watch them try to regain some sort of post-apocalyptic order or something. Just a faster paced show with more important, intelligent characters.
