This car keeps very cool when I monitored it at the VIR heat wave event. I have an upgraded RMM, yes I'll have to upgrade the rest eventually. Clutch is proven to be fine for awhile and once it goes after 30k or so I'll replace it with another OEM one. Axles and transmission are fine I'm not launching the car. I have 1.2" bigger brakes all around already so not an issue being 5-10 mph faster in the straights.
I wouldn't be the first boosted mazda3.... These cars can take some abuse and being only 50 more whp than I'm at right now isn't that much... This of course just possible idea like many others that have been produced in this thread. I don't mind replacing things with new OEM parts over time. The parts are pretty cheap lol.
just making sure all your ducks are in a row...from my experience, non-factory-boosted cars on track are usually the first casualties (and often weird stuff that is a bitch to predict...burned exhaust valves, manifold studs backing out, boost leaks), its just such a torture test out there that any weak link will show itself and the stuff you piece together has to be done carefully which i know you understand.
these guys with boosted N/A cars...do they track them? and not like hyperdrive track....like, entire seasons of DE, time trials, hillclimbs where they see sustained max load/high rpm stuff? if not, take their reports with a grain of salt as street driving and making passes at the strip is nowhere near the same level of stress. if they have...make them your new best friends, and pick their brains for every thing they're worth
