btw, has anyone actually attempted a neutral drop lately? last one i tried, probably 10 years ago, the ECU fun police wouldnt let it rev above 3k while in neutral
Jake has horror stories from regular Focus rentals about that transmission. He experienced issues in those things that my MKV which had 76k abusive miles on it never did, like it shuddering somewhat dramatically in gear revving over 4k. I dunno if they've had issues with them or if he just had a dud or what.
I do think they use a dry clutch vs the DSG wet setup so that might have some impact on NVH.
